Chi Alpha U :: Student Leadership Training Experience
In short, it is a devoted time of::
- training for students from established local ministries
- training and
acculturation for students from new group start-ups
- acculturation for the
leaders of new group start-ups
Pre-Work::
1. Read Master Plan of Evangelism by Robert Coleman
2. Work through“The
Cross” section from Tools for Mentoring (Joy Schroeder) 3.
Write a summary of
the Gospel message (THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT!!)
4. Read the book of Romans three times (if you haven't done it yet, read Galatians, it's shorter!)
5.Bringdown three questions people ask when encountering the Gospel and a short answer to each question.
Schedule::
- Tuesday,June 22:: Registration 2:00-4:00 PM, please plan arrival in this time frame
- Friday,June 25 :: Campus Time 12:30-? pm, please plan departure after this
Cost::
-$175 (includes all meals and dorm housing)
-$100 for Cohort Leaders (See Belkis or Kim for information)
Things to Bring::
- Pre-work COMPLETED and ready for evaluation
- Towels, bed sheets/sleeping bag, pillow
- Personal items, toiletries
- Bible, notebook, pen
- Snacks, bring one to share for game night!
- Bottled water or a bottle for water (mini REFRIDGERATORS are in each dorm room)
When arriving, first go to Mattox Hall where you will need your vehicle information (make, model, and license plate #) to get a FREE temporary student parking pass.
THEN proceed to Combs Hall to unload and park in STUDENT PARKING. There is a parking lot on the opposite side of the main road.
